Want To Write For The Sitch?
We are looking for activists who can contribute stories of ongoing struggles at school and in their community. It can be struggles ranging from anti-racism to divestment to union campaigns. Essentially, explain the situation and provide an avenue for others to get involved or formulate their own campaign. Commitment to writing for The Sitch isn’t a contractual obligation, but having a story or article to contribute each week would be ideal.
Contribute Photographs, Video, or Audio
Nothing can explain a situation better than some first hand accounts recorded through video, audio, or photography. Contributing any of these things is easy and the proper credit for it is attributed to its author. We do reserve the right to publish or not any submissions. Below are some guidelines for contributions.

Writing An Article
GUIDELINES
Try to keep any stories to a maximum of 800 words. Provide proper exposition to explain the context in which events are unfolding. Analytical articles, which require a larger amount of research and space to develop an idea or argument, should be no longer than 1200 words. Exceptions can be made, but it makes it a lot easier to read through and edit before it is published.
Submitting Videos, Photos, Audio
VIDEOS
Videos should be no wider than 512px, whether it is in a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio. Time limitations are dependent on video content, but no feature length videos will be accepted. The smaller the file size the better. All videos MUST be formatted with a compressed header for quicker viewing. Flash ‘.flv’ files is the acceptable file format.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Maximum size for photography should not exceed 1080px by 1080px. Acceptable file formats include: JPEG, PNG, and GIF.
AUDIO
There is no time limit on audio files, but small file sizes are preferable. Acceptable file formats include: MP3, WAV, and MP4
